A Growing Epidemic

Is Your Child's Vision
Getting Worse?

Myopia is advancing at epidemic rates — by 2050, half the world's population is projected to be myopic. Left untreated, rapidly progressing myopia significantly increases the risk of serious eye diseases.

PersonalEyes specializes in clinically proven myopia control treatments that slow progression, protecting your child's long-term eye health.

Serving Flower Mound and the Greater DFW Area

PersonalEyes Vision Care is proudly located at 2600 Lakeside Parkway in Flower Mound, Texas — but we see patients from across Denton County, Tarrant County, and the greater Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex every week. Our full-scope office offers comprehensive eye exams, pediatric eye care, myopia control for children, dry eye treatment, specialty contact lenses for keratoconus and irregular corneas, glaucoma management, and a curated designer eyewear boutique — all under one roof.

That consistency — across every patient, every appointment, every day — is what has built our reputation in Flower Mound and beyond.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions About Our Practice

What insurance do you accept?

We accept most major vision and medical insurance plans including VSP, EyeMed, Davis Vision, Spectera, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, and Medicare. Our team verifies your benefits before your visit so you know exactly what to expect.

How often should I get an eye exam?

The American Optometric Association recommends annual comprehensive eye exams for adults and children. Patients with diabetes, glaucoma, or other risk factors may need more frequent visits. Children should have their first exam between ages 1 and 3.

Do you offer myopia control for children?

Yes. Dr. Patel is a statewide lecturer on myopia control and offers the full range of proven treatments — MiSight 1 Day contact lenses, orthokeratology (Ortho-K), Stellest spectacle lenses, and low-dose atropine therapy. We tailor treatment to each child based on their age, prescription, and progression rate.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Please bring your insurance card, a valid photo ID, your current glasses or contact lenses, and a list of any medications you are taking. If you have previous eye records or a referral from another doctor, please bring those as well. You can also complete your patient forms online before your visit.

Do you fit specialty contact lenses?

Yes. We specialize in hard-to-fit cases including scleral lenses for keratoconus and irregular corneas, hybrid lenses, rigid gas permeable (RGP) lenses, multifocal contacts, and medically necessary contact lenses. If you have been told you cannot wear contacts, we encourage you to schedule a consultation.

We are located at 2600 Lakeside Parkway, Suite 180, Flower Mound, TX 75022 — conveniently serving Flower Mound, Highland Village, Lewisville, Grapevine, Coppell, Lantana, Argyle, and the greater DFW area.
