Getting Started Guide

Welcome to Abiliti™ Overnight! As your lenses are being custom-made to fit your eyes, let's go over the essential things to know before you start. This will ensure you feel confident, safe, and comfortable incorporating these lenses into your nightly routine.

Four Key Things to Keep in Mind:

  • Practice Makes Perfect: Just like learning any new skill, getting used to inserting and removing Abiliti™ Overnight lenses may take some time. Stay patient and consistent—it gets easier with practice.
  • Nightly Wear Schedule: Start by wearing your lenses for 8-10 hours on the first night, followed by a minimum of 6 hours each subsequent night. This initial longer wear helps in gently reshaping your eye, while nightly consistency optimizes treatment effectiveness.
  • Adjustment Period: Allow up to three weeks for your vision to fully adjust and stabilize with Abiliti™ Overnight lenses. Your eye doctor may provide glasses or daily disposable contacts to use during this period until your vision becomes consistently clear.
  • Initial Comfort: While Abiliti™ Overnight lenses shouldn't cause discomfort, you may be aware of them during the first few nights of wear. Rest assured, they are designed to feel less noticeable with your eyes closed, aligning with their purpose.

What Else is Normal During the First Few Weeks?

It's normal for your eyes to take some time to adjust to the lenses. Follow-up visits with your eye care professional are crucial to ensure the lenses are working effectively and to address any concerns.

Tips for Making the Most of Your Lenses:

  • Put the lenses on about 15-20 minutes before going to sleep, after you no longer need to focus on reading or screens.
  • Use preservative-free solution as instructed by your eye doctor before putting on the lenses.
  • Ensure you sleep a minimum of 6 hours with the lenses in to maximize their benefits.

Things to Avoid:

  • Don't use water or saliva on the lenses.
  • Avoid showering or swimming while wearing the lenses.
  • Never use disinfecting solution directly in your eyes.

Important Safety Information

Abiliti™ Overnight lenses are available by prescription only for managing myopia. Serious eye problems, including vision loss, can occur while wearing contact lenses. Follow your eye care professional's instructions strictly to minimize risks. Discontinue lens use and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any discomfort or vision issues beyond the initial adjustment period.
